Our word of the day has two ways to pronounce it with different meanings – conSOLE and CONsole.
ConSOLE is a verb for the action of trying to make someone sad feel better. We might console someone by offering them a hug or comforting words.
CONsole is a noun for an electronic board with screens, buttons, switches, etc. Pilots have a console with all the stuff they need to control the airplane. Or in a factory there might be a console to operate the equipment.
Console – try to help someone sad feel better – and console – an electronic control panel. Follow me for more words of the day!
