You can visit and browse our site anonymously.

When you register on our site, purchase a product, subscribe to our newsletter, respond to a survey or fill out a form, you may be asked to provide your name, e-mail address, and/or credit card information.

By placing an order with us, you consent to us gathering certain information about you, in order to process your order. This may include (but is not exclusively limited to):

  • your full name and email address (so we can deliver your order and update you about it)
  • your mailing address (so we can deliver your order)
  • your IP address (this is securely collected by our payment system, so that we can validate your payment information and prevent fraudulent orders)

If you do not provide your e-mail address, it may not be possible for you to receive your order or communications and updates about it.

The order will be added to your purchase history, which we also retain, in order to be able to help with inquiries and see which customers have ordered in the past.

If you if you sign up to our email list via our website, we may use this information to process your order (if you’ve processed an order), to contact you about an order, or to send you new lessons, new courses, special offers, and other updates.

You may opt out of these communications at any time, by clicking the “Unsubscribe” link in any email or by contacting us. If you would like to change your e-mail address, you can click the “Update subscription preferences” link at the bottom of any e-mail, or contact us.

You may request for us to delete your customer information at any time, by contacting us. We will carry out this request within 30 calendar days.

How do we protect your information?

We use MailChimp – a secure, third party email provider to store and manage email subscription information.

All credit card information is transmitted through a secure (SSL) connection and processed with a safe payment processor such as Stripe, PayPal, Sendowl, or PagSeguro. EspressoEnglish does not keep any payment information on our servers.

Your information will be protected behind our hosting provider’s firewall and other security arrangements on the third party sites. As with any such website, there is no absolute guarantee of security. If you feel this not sufficient, then please do not provide any personal information – or let us know and we will delete your information securely.

Your rights & consent

By using our site, you consent to our website’s privacy policy.

Without the contact information we will not be able to reply to you or deliver your purchase.

If you are subscribing, purchasing, or filling out a form on our website from outside the United States, please be aware that you are sending information (including personal data provided by you) to the United States where our servers are located. That information may then be transferred within the United States or back out of the United States to other countries outside of your country of residence, depending on the type of information and how it is stored by us.

These countries (including the United States) may not necessarily have data protection laws as comprehensive or protective as those in your country of residence; however, our collection, storage, and use of your personal data will at all times continue to be governed by this Privacy Policy.

Do we use cookies?

Yes. Cookies are small text files that a site transfers to your computer through your Web browser. Cookies enable websites to recognize your browser and capture and remember certain information.

We use cookies together with Google Analytics, the Google Remarketing Program, and Facebook Advertising to collect anonymous information that helps us measure page popularity and show you advertisements that are in line with your interests.

Other websites may display Espresso English ads based on the pages you have visited on the Espresso English website, but we do not share any of your personally identifiable information with these other sites.

Do we share any personal information with outside parties?

No – Espresso English does not sell, trade, or otherwise transfer your personal information to other companies, except for trusted companies that help us operate our website and process payments, as long as those parties agree to keep this information confidential.

Non-personally identifiable visitor information may be provided to other parties for marketing, advertising, or other uses.

Our website may include links to other websites or products. These third party sites have separate and independent privacy policies, so we have no responsibility or liability for the content and activities of these linked sites.

Changes to our privacy policy
