Our word of the day is perceptive. Not perspective – this is perceptive, it’s an adjective.

Describing someone as perceptive means they are good at observing things and understanding them. They can even notice things that aren’t obvious.

Let’s say I’m sad, but I’m trying to hide it – if you notice that hidden feeling and ask me what’s wrong, then you are perceptive. We can also describe an article or comment as perceptive if it shows good understanding, especially beyond the obvious. That’s our word of the day – bye for now!
